He has no intention to seek help because he thinks it's more manly to simply passively endure his problems than fix them. Nagging him to go to therapy and seek help will only solidify his resolve to never, ever, ever go to therapy.
I'd sit him down, and tell him one last time that it's more “manly” to realise that one is struggling and get professional help instead of just suffering, not moving forward with life.

I’d be careful and set boundaries. I’ve seen this happen with an ex partner and a friend they made who were maybe friends for 2 or so years at that point. This friend would physically abuse her partner and I found out would ask for and receive money from his father. But no matter what, she was never “the bad person”. That friend was going to therapy but I’d overhear toxic views that she thinks every person needs to get beat up once in their life to gain a better outlook on life or some weird shit. Still, nothing was wrong with her in my ex’s eyes. Later on my ex left me, albeit I had things to work on and go through, but not to the point of physically abusing my ex or using her etc. My ex wouldn’t allow me the time or talk about what we needed or what to work on, even though I put in more effort as I knew things went a little weary.
Just be careful man. I don’t understand it to this day and likely it’s a feeling of not wanting to be alone or have no friends – latching on to anything you can get. Set those boundaries and if anything sketchy happens again, don’t bring it up every time, but keep this account to recall. It might not matter if it’s anything like what I went through, but it just sucks – she’s choosing this idea of friendship and security over what’s right and wrong.
