In my opinion being comfortable with your body is attractive. Changing for the sake of feeling better just comes off as inauthentic. I have no right to tell anyone what to do with their bodies but I like someone who is proud of who they are. I wouldn’t change a single thing about myself. I mean I look at this as one of those guys who gets the height surgery and just assumes everything will be better for him now that he is tall. Im sure people would feel deceived and somewhat turned off. I think the core issue here (at least for me ) is that changing yourself on the outside doesn’t fix what may or may not be wrong on the inside. I don’t mean to speak for you or your boyfriend. I just feel like true confidence comes from working with what you’ve got. It’s modest. I think plastic surgery and any sort of body modifications for people has become very normalized in our society but it just comes off as trying too naked. To me it’s the equivalent of a guy being way too ripped. Don’t get me wrong I think subtlety is good and change is good but don’t overkill it.
Drop him. Do not move cities for this guy. You had one date. And yeah I get it you’ve also talked a lot. But you don’t actually really know each other. If he wasn’t even willing to try getting to know you better I think that’s your answer.
In the end he didn’t care enough to extend himself to try and see if you were a good fit.
And anyone who uses statistics as a reason is reaching.

Wow you are in a conundrum for real. I’m not sure you will ever look at your bf’s family, the same again. You could never trust them. The enabling and making excuses from his family shows just how dysfunctional they are. If you have kids you will always worry when they around his family. You are young, RUN.
