The thing that bothers me is that they disrespected you and your relationship. He put them in a time-out. They doubled down. Then he caved.
A partner should put their spouse first, though I realize this is a relatively new relationship. The fact that he caved when they were obviously in the wrong doesn't bode well for your future.
Consider what he will allow if you marry? If you decide to have children? Do you want these values to be passed on that mom isn't a person deserving of respect cause she is in a wheel chair?
You should have a serious talk with him. If he isn't able to do the right thing, he probably isn't for you.
She made a one year anniversary post for a guy who had been cheating on her for 3/4 of the entire relationships. This is why social media is bullshit. People be posting all sorts of shit about how wonderful someone of something is, meanwhile their life is on fire.
