You’re just like my parents but reversed. My step-sister is an addict, my step-father enables her and my mom can’t say one word about anything without him taking it as an attack on his daughter.
It’s a little disappointing that she hasn’t turned to you more for advice given your own history, but seeing a similar situation play out at my own home, it’s understandable.
A mediator of some kind may help. Going to al-anon together so she can hear from other parents going through the same thing. Or a family counselor that also has experience with addiction.
