You need to ask yourself if this is worth the risk. Even asking for an open relationship would be a deal breaker for most people. I know I’d be done. Are you also prepared for this to go both ways? If you read the stories on here, this rarely ends well.
Very true. For some people it never tears or bleeds, even with vaginal penetration, because it's not impeding it. For others something completely non-sexual can cause it to tear. There's definitely an archaic association between hymens and purity which, along with most things about purity culture is misinformed, and super gross.

My (F26) boyfriend (M27) and I have been together for about 5 months now. We take turns showing each other shows we like. For example, he got me to watch True Detective, then I got him to watch Stranger Things, and now he is getting me to watch Game of Thrones. While I do like the plot of Game of Thrones and am really enjoying the story, I am very very uncomfortable with the constant exploitative sex scenes. We are only at the beginning of s2 and I’m already feeling this way. According to my best friend, it just gets worse as the show progresses. My boyfriend can tell that I get really uncomfortable and kinda annoyed whenever these scenes sneak up on us. I feel bad because GoT is his favorite fictional universe, and he watched my favorite show. I like the dynamic we have right now with taking turns sharing our favorite things and I don’t want to to mess that up by giving up on one of his. But I am just so stressed out and uncomfortable about continuing to watch. Do any of you have advice on how I can either tell him that I can’t finish, or how I can be less anxious about watching this show?
