Leave him. Genuinely. I paid for my BF for 1.5 years – half of rent even though we were not co-living, all dates and dinners, gifts. For 1.5 years, he only paid 1 car ride ($5) and 1 necklace from street sellers ($5). I am so angry that I did not leave him beforehand.
