Or, is it possible she bought them at a charity shop and didn’t think you’d approve of her buying used clothing? If she HAS been having night-sweats, naked flashes, or other peri menopause symptoms, she might be hoping that they are a temporary aberration and didn’t want to spend much money on sleep shirts. Also, pre-worn, well washed shirts are softer, more comfortable than new.
Redditors aren't stupid!! We know this “version” of the story has deliberately left out crucial details. There is something fundamentally wrong with the people who create posts looking for opinions, and then lose their minds when the responses give them an unbiased (correct) opinion. They either lash out at commenters or immediately delete the post (an internet version of taking your toys and going home). This OP is both smug and foolish to create a new post, removing the parts of the story that show her fault, and assume the very same group of Redditors will now agree with her. OP, I hope you find the therapist you desperately need and actually listen, with an open mind, so that you can figure out how to be a decent human being.
