Yea it seems like a theme of both breaks was that there was a degree of physical separation. Rather than working through that difficulty he opted out of the situation to get his immediate needs met while leaving you on hold so he still has a backup. He inarguably put his own feelings above yours even when his were most likely innate animalistic/short term pleasures, while you were struggling through tangible emotional issues that were much more unique.

It’s bad business. My worst fear is being asked for an open relationship, it implies very bad things regardless of how people say it’s a good thing for them or whatever. If I love somebody, ain’t no way in hell I’m just gonna be ok with them fucking somebody else, it just doesn’t work like that. If I myself want to sleep with somebody else, then I don’t love the person I’m with.
