  1. Just talk to her about boundaries. Say it’s fine if she has male friends, but talking about sex or romance or problems in your relationship is not ok with you. Because that can lead to the guy actively trying to undermine your relationship. So if a guy friend starts talking about that stuff, you expect her to stop them, let you know, and stop being their friend if it happens again.

  2. Why is it always assumed that “poly” is some kind of identity? It's not like gay/bi/lesbian orientations. LGB applies to their attractions within a polycule, or whatever it's called, so poly is just a behavior and nothing else.

What happens when she gets tired of multiple people? A 4th?

  3. Most people are insecure. For good reason, too many times the opposite sex gender is just hanging out waiting to take their shot.

However there are exceptions. My best friend is a girl. Her boyfriend knows me, and we're friends too. I don't flirt with or hit on her, because I'm not a trash human. Which is rare, she shows me conversations she has with her other male friends and it's mostly them hitting on her, or sexual jokes.

    Still it's shouldn't be a red flag.

  4. Yesterday morning she had a serious discussion regarding how I should behave with her.

Can you expand on her expectations regarding that conversation?

  5. I'd argue you should date people you trust not to use your device without permission, no matter if they know your access code.

My husband and I have full access to each other's personal devices (work devices are different ofc) and we share a lot of devices as well. I do trust him not to use my accounts without asking (we do share a bank account, so using my card is absolutely the same as using his own), and the has the same trust in return. Simple.

  6. I will call out everybody who claims they aren't into politics

Sure, but then there are people who'll say that, in fact they simply don't have the energy to deal with it, or trying to understand complex facets of the economy is just beyond them, or they've just seen so much corruption on all sides that politics sickens them, or their personal life has been so severely affected by politics (like having to bear twins conceived during rape that rip your body apart because abortion is not available to you) that you can't begin to take action because you really cannot face having to think about it and when would you even be able to fit in therapy when you're single mothering twins without a support system)

So often people will just say just anything to shut others up precisely because they don't want to have to justify themselves. So I think people need to give a little grace here and there. We can't all be Emily Pankhurst.

  7. No that’s not what I’m saying. Of course she has, it’s not about the actual excuses it’s about the phrasing. Also not all people are neurotypical, smdh. That’s why I mentioned rejection sensitive dysphoria. I have a family member who is also an adult, but despite being a logical person has difficulty interpreting reasonable requests when they perceive it to be a rejection of them specifically. Then it completely short circuits their logic and becomes all about emotion. Usually when this happens, employing different phrasing, tone, and reassurance immediately resolves the issue. It’s like a switch in the brain.

All you guys on Reddit are just so ready to accuse people of being abusive and controlling for displaying a single bad behaviour without considering that other possibilities exist. OP stated that this is really the only thing they argue about. But yeah, I guess he must just be a controlling and unreasonable adult.

  8. Males say they don’t want an experienced woman but get mad when a woman is not experienced. Delusional for sure
