So you don't want to break up with her, but she doesn't respect you or your feelings within the relationship? The best you can do is to try to sit down with her and have an honest conversation and say that there are things that are really bothering you within the relationship and try to calmly explain how you feel and why. If she refuses to talk or just degrades you for your feelings, then idk why you'd want to be with someone like that.

Honestly that would tell me this man's got a broken filter between his brain and his mouth, and it would make me pause and think long and hard before I went out with him again. Not surprisingly – there's very little in the world that would make me go out with such a guy again.
I don't think he's necessarily actively longing for her, it's just that he spent a very long time romantically involved with this person and it sounds like there wasn't any big falling out or drama or anything. They haven't spent much time together in a non-romantic context so meeting up is obviously going to stir up some feelings. I think it's likely the bittersweet feeling you described.
Him being honest and letting you decide if it's a dealbreaker for you or not is honestly very admirable as he could just have lied easily.
I'd say you'd be justified if you want to end your relationship over this, but I don't think you're necessarily a rebound as others are saying.
I think you got your answer on what to do. Leave him, he would do the same.
Instead of asking her to stop, tell her that you can't be with her as things stand–seems similar but makes it about you and your needs, and allows her to make her own choice about how to go forward. It's a super legit need on your part.
Thing is, I broke up with him twice before and I still went back.. I want to break up with him again, I’m just not sure how to do it He told me that I was playing the victim and when I told him it upset me that he was saying that and that I was just trying to share my feelings he said he doesn’t remember ever mentioning something like that. Which is why I came here, I wanted to see if others see how crazy it is or if it’s just me.. Because I do see how messed up it is I just don’t know how to exit the situation. Thats why I feel really confused because this hasn’t ever been an issue. We’ve been together for 10 years and I don’t know exactly where to go from here. Like do we continue the relationship? Was this just more of he’s mad at himself for doing what he did or is he mad because he got caught and I called him out? Like how much of this actually has to do with the way I responded?
