1. Ok, I'm glad that I wasn't the only one who didn't see any conflicting signals. All of the “signs” he wants more with OP sort of sound like generic loneliness….as in, I'm so lonely after this break-up, who can I call to come over and keep me company? Who can I call that will fulfill my physical/emotional human needs without demanding a commitment from me?

   If you wear it, you make him feel like you are doing out of pity.

   If you don't wear it, he will know you don't like it.

   You complained when he didn't do anything, and now you complain about the really expensive gift that was most likely custom.

   You want my honest opinion? Wear the jewelry everyday foe the rest of your life. Why? It will remind you to be humble when he went all out and it will be a constant remind how you will might never get anything again.

   And don't be surprised if he doesn't do anything else like this ever again.

6. I deal with this situation but with cats…maybe not the same but maybe this will help…I have them separated…one stays in one part of the house and one in another. This is very easy to fix if you are planning to buy a house and if not…get a big apartment with bedrooms far away from each other. Having cages works for when they need a time out. Having a yard will help…they can take turns.
