  1. In this instance it's not. It's childish and petty but the partner is capable of getting their own dinner. Saying this is abuse minimises the actual abuse that people face.

  2. I’ve worked in addiction recovery and known parents have their kids removed for less.

Get your child away from that man immediately. He straight up drugged a 3 year old, that’s not an “antic” it’s child abuse.

  3. It kinda is. OP and his girlfriend aren't in a committed relationship. They've only been together for a year.

  4. She’s taken a liking to slap me or claw at my arms when she’s angry, she verbally abuses me and calls me things like “useless” “dicksucker” “f*ggot” and much worse. Problem is, she thinks that’s okay cause “women can treat men however they want and men can’t do anything about it”.

Oh, fuck no. Get away from her now before this gets worse. Be very careful with how you break things off with her and have someone around as a witness before she accuses you of assaulting her.

  5. That’s fine but don’t be gullible either about his space. A partner should be able to share what’s going on with when they come home. If he still isn’t opening up to you. Then you have a bigger problem that you need to investigate for yourself. That’s shady and BS of his response to you. His issues are your issues. So it’s not only about him it’s you too.

  6. What is he expecting?

You say you like him and want to be in a relationship.

He says he doesn't like labels. We'll it's a non-answer but sure if he is not happy as defining it and you are in an open relationship.

The difference is you are being clear. Sure he can take it as you dating other people because he doesn't want to be in a relationship but… that is life.

You either commit or you don't. He doesn't seem to want to commit. In my opinion someone that doesn't want to commit is fine, for someone else to date. They can work out with someone willing to spend that time working it out. But for me if you're finding it hard to commit it's because you just feel it enough and that is cool but we aren't a good match.

Likewise if I can't commit, the same too. It doesn't matter how great things seem, it's not a commitment issue. It's more something is not right for me. Even if I don't know what it is.

  7. Ignore and move on. They'll definitely have problems but that's their responsibility not yours.

  8. That's the oddest thing I've ever heard in my fucking life. I'm a lustful person but I'm not about to wife up a girl who decided to fuck my friend right after I asked her out. THAT'S SO ODD, OP.

  9. I’m not missing anything. See I read all OPs comments. She was being an ass to her father and partner.

  10. No, this is not ok, this woman is up to no good, and if your fiancee is entertaining this sh!t he is on his way to cheat.

  11. Not necessarily. Sounds like he’s an experienced cheater and they work at the same place. Easy to communicate in person or on work systems.

  12. Then, yes, you're wasting your time because this man isn't willing to set healthy boundaries with his mum….

He most likely hopes that you just cave in and agree to living all together.

  13. 1) Learn to read between the lines. You think he just said “He wants to have sex with you”, and then just stopped the conversation? OP even admits they have a hot time discussing their emotions. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming that “I am not comfortable with him around” fell somewhere around “He wants to have sex with you”, as that is a natural extension of that conversation.

    2) It isn't like she asked 20 people, got a bunch of maybes, and then he was the only one that showed up night-of. She knew no one else was coming, she could have rescheduled it after learning he was the only one. But instead, she went forward with her plans, knowing it would be just the two of them.

    3) She absolutely mocked him with her claims of jealousy. He was right about the creep, and her response was “Aww are you jealous?” after she got drunk and groped. That is belittling him. And btw, not every guy sexually assaults women who are drunk, which is exactly what this guy did (if she honestly didn't cheat). I've never done it, and I have managed to hang out one on one with multiple women without caressing them. If you think that is normal behavior, then please find help, because either you are a female who has been abused by every male in her life, or a male who sees himself in this creep.

    4) This is beyond just bad judgement. This is incredibly reckless behavior that could get her hurt or killed. But let's be real mate, how many cheaters have said “Nothing happened between me and them! I told them I have a partner, and they respected my no”? Either she has such catastrophically terrible judgement that she is a walking talking red flag, or she cheated, which is more likely.

    5) The question should rest with OP, not her. She is the one who fucked up and broke trust, while belittling him.

    6) Do not blame OP's emotional constipation for this. You literally just justified emotional affairs with your statement. Either she needed to have a serious heart to heart about how they can be more compatible, or she needed to leave. Not start an emotional affair with another guy. Should women who don't have sex enough for their husbands expect to be cheated on because “they wouldn't look outside the relationship if it was inside”? You are literally justifying cheating here, which fucking disgusting.

  14. IQ tests measure only three forms of intelligence which some egghead scientists thought were important. There are probably at least 13 different kinds of intelligence, so the IQ test measures a small facet of human capability. I am a language teacher, and there is every probability that your boyfriend could bust his ass at languages and still fall flat on his face. And, as an English teacher, I applaud your level of English. I don't know what your mother tongue is, but you have a great use of adverbs and advanced vocabulary like “condescending” and “therefore”. I have Proficiency students that I wish would write as well as you.
