Honestly, if I were him, I would be contemplating whether or not you were even capable of making a decision in the moment even when it was life or death. Your taking this much time has worn out his patience and, probably, much of his love. You really messed up royally. If I were him, at this point, would be giving the ultimatum of you either take my name and commit to making it official or there is no way I would ever be able to remain married and start my own family with you as I would not believe you were capable of making life or death decisions if/when it came to the children. You royally messed up to the point where you need to consider that he is getting exhausted with your ridiculousness. A bit of time is okay–a few days, maybe a few weeks, but after the 3 years since, you really know he deserves better. God forbid you have to make a life or death decision when his life is on the line!
If I were him, I would make it clear that, if starting a family or us continuing as a married couple, you need to make it clear what you decide and then accept his response and decision about whether to move forward or not. Personally, I would have given the ultimatum a long time ago. You have been stalling and hoping he gets tired of it/forgets it–nothing more. You have made it clear you do not care about what is important to him or his feelings. I feel so bad for him. He deserves better.
I’m working on that part. He hid the tax return from me, but I’m going to try and find it. That right there tells me he’s lying about his finances. As far as friends go, I’ve tried. I have one that has 2 empty spare rooms, but he’s a bachelor and is hesitant because I have teens lol. I get it, but that’s my only friend that would be able to help.
I knew girls did stuff like that, but don’t really see it from girls in relationships. (Her roommate is not in one). it makes me uncomfortable because I don’t understand why A. they feel so comfortable doing things like that a foot away from me and B if I expressed my discomfort why they continue to do it. No hun. That's not true either. If there wasn't something to start a rumor over rumors wouldn't be starting. Like you said he has other female friends. He goes and hangs out with other female friends. No rumors have ever started over them and it doesn't matter if it's a two out of 10 or a 10 out of 10. Rumors are going to start when a married man is having coffee or any other type of date likes scenario with another woman.
If the rumor started it's because they looked to be together. Either holding hands sitting too close. Touching too much. The list goes on. They gave people a reason to start the rumors.
Trust your gut hun. It's telling you something's wrong.
