Thank you for your insightful message. Although I am an open minded person who believes in all types of therapy, this has been a completely new wild world to try and understand. We are searching for a new therapist and have a meeting with the concierge therapist who recommended her. I am learning that standing up for me and my family only makes everything better and to not fear. Thank you ??

Trying to work with her or her family directly isn't working. Instead go the legal route and work through your lawyer to get rights to your child. Good luck.
Damn I sure would've had kids with that guy. You went through a traumatic experience and he wasn't there for you…? time to re-evaluate what you got because this isn't it… He sounds like the kind of guy to cheat on you when you're pregnant tbh.

Wasn’t good with money as in I didn’t earn a lot and it was naked for me to save.
1) The budget right now is don’t spend on anything besides needs. I use Tiller to track expenses.
2) Yes we do, but because of my mat-leave, our expenses are higher than what we were bringing in for the last 3 months.
3) Living within our means = had some house projects come up (drainage), which set us back. Since my mat-leave we paused unnecessary spending though.
4) Yes we both contributed to retirement.
I think this current episode did instill new financial habits in me. For example, just because income goes up, spending doesn’t have to go up.
I think it’s quite a difference whether you’re renting or paying towards a partner’s mortgage without any legal agreements. In one situation, it’s never expected the place will be mine down the line. In the other, it’s just a question of hope for decency in case of a breakup.
