5. Don't get the puppy. And personally I could not agree to someone that special to me for so long to suddenly say “hey im off for a year, catch you later”. Because yes she will see other people during that time and most likely reclaim some experiences she feels she missed out on.

   Would you do that to her? If not, then you should not accept that from her.
