Be honest and hope that she is, too. A friend of mine had this conversation after being in a committed monogamous relationship almost two years ago. They have since broken up, a few months ago.
What I took away from that is that you need to overcommunicate. You need to be clear. You need to be honest. And you need to be understanding. You have to start the conversation because as much as it’s not fair for her it’s not fair for you either. You are not currently getting something you feel you need. And that need is totally fine but it might not be something that she’s okay with – which is also totally fine. It just means you will need to end things. Which sucks.
