My (27m) girlfriend (27f) had a huge fear and lots of anxiety of going to the dentist a few months ago as she had not been to one in 22 years.
She asked me to accompany her and I made sure I could first. When we went to the dentist I made sure to ask them myself if it was alright if ai went in with her as she had not been in 22 years. They had no problems with this and my girlfriend felt better because I made sure to make it my request, not hers (as to not add to her anxiety).
Nobody at the clinic had any issues with it and after that visit she’s been back many times by herself now.
Being sedated around a bunch of strangers for a procedure can be pretty scary so I don’t see the harm in just asking her. I’m sure she would be happy to be there for you!
