You need to have an honest conversation with your wife about this. If she did this from some stereotype that men always want sex no matter what they say, ask her if for her bday you should just give her your credit card so she can go shopping cause that’s what gender stereotypes suggest women like the most. You’re more than a sexually crazed beast and you were very specific about what would make your bday special. But you also need to make sure she understands you still find her desirable (not sure why she would think you don’t, maybe there are some other issues going on here). Definitely wait a bit for passions to die down and have a compassionate conversation with each other.
My parents don't know about him because l'm from india. Being in a relationship outside marriage is still a big deal for some conservative people here. Oh no I absolutely stated that her timing wasn’t great. How do you prepare someone for that? Most people say just be honest. That’s what she ultimately was. Hopefully they can work it out.
