You need to get it through your head that he is not making any effort whatsoever to change his predicament. He’s going to agree with you but when it comes to it, he’s not going to take action to change things. Your choices are to accept him as he is or see it as a dealbreaker and move on with your life without him. You’re not going to save him and you’re not going to change him.
