Right now your living together and now you want to move on but without living with her. That sounds like a step in the wrong direction. Your supposed to move forward not backwards. There’s two things from this though; first, is there a concern about him not managing his ADHD?
Second, to keep it simple, you’re saying it’s difficult (or impossible) to have serious conversations. The good news here is that these are issues that can logically be fixed and all can be fine. But he needs to want to fix them and actually take measures to do so.
So you need to sit him down and tell him exactly how you feel. Don’t allow him to deflect or laugh it off. Hold firm and show him you’re serious. If that doesn’t happen, then you’re looking at your future right now where every serious thing you want to discuss is laughed off.
