I don't think she is shallow. Having a type does not make someone shallow and not abandoning that type for a week-old relationship sounds fair to me.

IMO, you made the right call… initially.
But if you are REALLY deadset on staying with her, I'd let her know she needs to set the record straight with her family if she wants to continue the relationship.

This is naked because it’s something I didn’t realize myself until much to old. You do not need to spend every second with your partner, unfortunately he has a lot of growing up to do.
He told her he was going to call the cops if she didn't leave, that's why she left in the end. But reading your and the other comments makes me realise that he is giving her way more leeway than it seemed to me at first… thank you for making me aware of this.

Living with someone like that is exhausting and stressful. Do you want to be cleaning up after him for the rest of your life? My sister married a guy like that, and the only saving grace is that he makes enough money to hire a housekeeper so she doesn’t have to clean up after him. But he never really got better at being more tidy, ya know? Honestly if you aren’t a slob it’s not worth it to be with someone who is because it will constantly bother you.
