There’s nothing you could have done in this situation that would not have resulted in you feeling defeated. It sounds like she wanted to pick a fight. She may say she’s fine with you going out fridays but her actions say otherwise.
She sounds emotionally immature as well as controlling and abusive. Her other positive qualities that lure you into loving her can’t negate the negative qualities and the horrible way she treats you when she doesn’t get her way. She’s not emotionally mature enough to be in a healthy relationship; maybe she’ll get there one day but it’s not your job to fix that nor can you.
Even when there isn’t fighting you two sound romantically incompatible. Aside from tolerating each other or enjoying passive downtime, do you two honestly do things or have conversations that help you grow as a loving couple? Is there anything besides comfortable routine that’s keeping you together?
Take a break for a couple of weeks and see how you feel once the loneliness wears off. You might end up realizing it’s the first time in a long time that you can truly breathe and just be yourself. Then there’s your answer.
