True and the daughter needs to realize that she's a Mom now and it's not gonna be easy and she is gonna need to make some sacrifices. I don't know their financial situation, but there's always a halftime job or being a sahm and budgeting. I know, easier said than done. Those are her options if she wants her child taken care of because really, putting kids in daycare is more expensive than being a sahm; I know couples that were both working and the wives ended up being sahm because daycare is so expensive where I online. Some people are very anti being friends with people that you've had sex with in the past. Think it can't be done. But there's also plenty that don't think it's that big of deal. Just because you had sex before doesn't mean it's ever going to happen again. Not everyone burns bridges with exes and is so dramatic. And plenty would have zero issue with them being at the wedding.
It sounds like you guys just might have very different approaches into how you handle exes. Neither are exactly wrong (though I think the position that once you have sex with someone they're forever forced into a specific box isn't a very mature/secure view), but if neither of you can actually see and understand the other's side…this doesn't bode well.
