My partner has a child and if she told me her ex was gonna do this I would tell her I'm not comfortable with this, and if this is the decision that was made anyway I would definitely take a large step back from that relationship and consider where do I really fit in this dynamic. I’m sure you left out some parts for brevity sake, but it sounds like you’ve talked AT her and not WITH her. You told her your opinion, but did you ask her about her opinion? Did you seek to understand her behavior, her feelings, her thoughts?
Relationships aren’t about being right and being wrong as much as they are seeking to understand each other, learn from each other, and find common ground.
