Take back your key. They lost the privilege of having a key. You told them you'd see them during the weekend and they decided to not respect your wishes and not only showed up a your house, but let themselves in.
The key was for emergencies only. If you don't take back the key, they will continue to think they can just walk into your house whenever they want. Although after walking in on you, they might have learned their lesson.
