1. This doesn’t really address you main point, but it’s important:

   Cooking professionals clean, because they understand how important it is to be sanitary. “Well, the kitchen is just going to get dirty tomorrow anyway” is NOT an excuse.

   Without a thorough cleaning, that kitchen will get gross, and start attracting bugs and other vermin. If he doesn’t have bugs and rodents already, he will. He’ll also start growing all kind of interesting bacteria. Some will “only” make the bread taste bad, some will make you sick, and a few can actually kill you.

   The flour is a concern, but I’m more worried about the raw egg. Raw egg can fuck you up.

   It is NOT okay for him to give you and your friends food poisoning because he’s to lazy to clean. If taking time to clean means he has less time for baking, then so be it. If he’s been baking, that kitchen must be spotless by the time he goes to bed. This is non-negotiable.

   If your BF is going to bake even as a casual hobby, he absolutely must take sanitary practices seriously. He’s not being fair to you, your friends, or himself if he doesn’t.
