I get that but it doesn’t have to be permanent. We also don’t have many options here. It would be one thing if she could get a place within 30 minutes of me but that isn’t an option. So it’s either we live! together or be long distance with few chances to see each other in person. Sure long distance can work but it’s harder and it requires quite a few extra things and expenses.

I've been here, unfortunately. I'm quite friendly with people, and when I meet people that I can have good conversations with, I'm very animated, etc. I'm in a long term relationship and would never pursue someone who's taken if I WERE single, but people have still made assumptions in the past. I just like to socialise, dang it! There's such a thing as friendly chemistry, and having respect for your relationship doesn't preclude having friends of the opposite sex.
My advice would be to stay friendly, regularly mention your wife, and don't do anything that you/your wife would consider out of bounds. If this woman's behaviour becomes more overt or objectionable, remind her that you appreciate your conversations, but you're happily married. No need to get ahead of yourself!
