Indoctrination is a slow process, brainwashing is basically repeating something over and over until it becomes familiar and internalized. By being polite, your family is opening themselves up to becoming Nazis. So, being polite due to the threat of being cast out? You're playing into their hands. Best course? Be as loud as them with factual information to family members. You're not safe either, with enough time exposed to those beliefs, you could start internalizing them too.
