I hear you, and don’t get me wrong; it’s ok to feel what you feel, you are entitled to that. But at some point, only YOU can bring yourself out of that hole. You don’t need her. You know that saying, “there are plenty of fish in the sea?”
I went out once on a hike with a friend, after breaking up with a girl. I needed it, to get my thoughts running the opposite way, instead of being hyper-focused on her.
At some point, we got to some snow and we kept going for another 2 hours. When we decided to turn back, we realized we were lost. While we were trying to orient ourselves, a gust of wind blew and all the trees in the valley bent to the will of the wind.
For me, to see such a force of nature bend thousands of trees that were much bigger than me, it was like an epiphany. Whatever pain and emotions I was going through; it was mine and mine alone. If I died here, among the trees, my corpse would just blow over too. It was kind of a weird, morbid moment, and it made me realize how tiny it was. You can spend time thinking about what could have been, sure. But because we are so tiny, maybe think about spending your life with meaning.
Again, you are entitled to your pain and your emotions. But do yourself a favor. Lift yourself up for yourself. Go to the gym. Get some bubble tea. The ladies don’t necessarily care to take on your baggage; it makes you unattractive. I’m not trying to discourage you… if you’re going to want to continue dating and meet new people and experience new things, you’ll need to learn to pick yourself up.
And, as you mature, you’ll find the people that will eventually become your inner circle of trusted friends. But everything needs to go at its own pace, like I said, don’t be impatient. Good luck my friend.
