To put into perspective, my father pursued my mother for years but she only saw him as a friend, she finally gave him a chance because he had always been good to her. They were best friends…they were best friends for years so she didn't think he would ever hurt her. He flipped the switch the night of the honeymoon. Literally, 180…he'd been hiding his true nature for years.
This is just one example…but there's countless like this where toxic men like what we're discussing put on this facade for a long time.
I promise you this isn't just a couple weeks of playing prince charming. This is building an entire relationship under the facade its healthy, secure and strong.
What your saying is that basically all women in heterosexual relationships have Stockholm syndrome. As long as you get through the first week or two they become slaves.

Why not stand up for yourself? You let her keep going on with her delusions, it's just gonna justify it for her.
