  1. IUD is quite painful and can also have side effects and health complications. Even the non hormonal copper one can cause copper poisoning and then you have to get it painfully yanked out anyway. If he can’t handle a vasectomy, she shouldn’t have to handle an IUD. They don’t even numb you or give you pain meds.

  2. I don't think he ever got rid of his desire for you. Sure, friends do drive each other around when necessary, but here it sounds like he was giving one sided favors and preferential treatment to you

Now that he has a gf, he doesn't have to try with you. Or he is trying to make you jealous, who knows.

  3. It’s not cruel to ignore unwanted messages. He’s not concerned about your feelings, why do you need to be concerned about his? Block him and move on.

  4. Coz it's weird and overstepping boundaries. Just talk to him directly, his ex shouldn't be involved in your relationship.

  5. Your wife is dependent on you like a child, but you can't imagine not having children…someone who is dependent on you. You know how paradoxical that sounds?

  6. Have you issued ultimatums before and then didn't follow through on them? Based on his reaction it sounds like he knows that regardless of what you're saying, you will still be with him (and your responses in this thread pretty much say the same).

Either way, this relationship is going to make someone unhappy after this. If he goes, he comes back and you're still with him, likely angry and resentful, which you will hold over him. He will also know that your ultimatums are just bluffs and you'll accept his behavior with no real consequences. Or, he doesn't go on the vacation and he resents you for trying to control him even though you “fully trust” him. It's a lose lose now, and you can't un-know the fact that he doesn't really care to consider your feelings about something like this.

  7. You can't help someone who doesn't want to help themselves.

You talked to him about the problem. He said he would change. He didn't. Now, when you talk about it again. He gets mad about it. Sorry. But he's not going to change.

You either treat him like a child. Scold him every time he doesn't wash or change his clothes. Go there and clean his house and do his laundry. Or just accept who he is.

  8. When it gets to the point that the relationship is drama and draining and not fun like it's supposed to be, especially at your age, it's time to break up and move on.

  9. I do believe you’re right about the age gap. Although I was 26 when we started dating it was still always on my mind and she always told me she wanted to settle down with me and start a life together. Moving back to my grandparents actually brought her closer to her friends and family because that’s where we lived before we moved in together. But she didn’t want to on-line there. She would go back and forth with yes and no and I eventually made the decision myself
