Dude you are 24 and in the midst of dating, it's not going to get any better. You are not sexually compatible and that is just as good a reason as any not to stay with someone.

I feel like you both have things you need to work on. Telling him he's a bad boyfriend or that he should be more like another person is not okay. As for him, making empty promises or telling you that you're over reacting over things that really upset you is also not okay. It seems like you guys need to trust each other and figure out where this relationship is supposed to go. When I feel like I'm too sensitive for my bf is because I'm not doing anything else than being with him. You need to do things that help your anxiety and make you forget about what he might be doing or what he might be saying. Moreover, having clear limits on where a joke is out of hand, is also really helpful. Therapy also worked for me on my anxiety, but that's a whole other topic. I really hope you can get through this, and remember that you need to love yourself before loving anybody else!
