Good question. He mentioned to me back then that he was seeing someone, but he always told me it was nothing serious & that they weren't fooling around. So I knew about this girl but he did hide key details.
I was prescribed buspirone for anxiety. My antidepressant now has the anxiety under control, but I keep buspirone on hand because it also helps, a LOT, with PMS/PMDD/hormonal mood swings. She might want to look into having an as needed medication on hand.
That being said, she also needs to get her shit together. Yes, hormones blast your body and can make you crazy. Things that would normally not bother you can start to, and things that usually annoy you slightly can turn into massive issues. That doesn’t give someone an excuse to be an asshole all the way through.
I warn my housemates when I start my period, apologize in advance if I get crazy, and work really naked on staying as calm as possible during hell week. I remove myself from situations that are going to piss me off, I mindfully accept that small things (like the stove being spotless or my brother taking too long in the shower) are GOING to happen and it’s best for me to ignore it and address that shit in a few days when I’m calmer.
It shows that they are normal people with hopes, plans and daydreams, like literally any other mentally stable person.
Talking about what they would like in the future is only a problem if they seem to believe its going to happen magically, just spontaneously one day because its suppossed to. (I call this being visited by the magic grownup fairy, because they seem to believe that they will recieve all those “grownup” rites of passage, like a car, perfect job, perfect relationship and house just by virtue of having reached a certain age. And they get very upset when it doesn't happen. )
Or its incredibly unrealistic or pervasive. Usually because they are addicted to daydreaming, and/or out of touch with reality. Both of which can be red flags for mental illness. Or finally if they are talking future plans which include you, before you are ready for that type of commitment (wedding and kids on your second date type of stuff). Or the opposite, where theyvare planning a future that doesn't seem to include you, andvyou are in a commited relationship with them.

I misread that lol
His friendship has been intertwined in my life for a while now. Like I said I'm closer to him than any of my family
