Work on your depression, get an exam done by a psychiatrist if it is affecting your life and others. Medication and therapy isn’t a bad thing, many people need it.
My husbands emotional instability was almost the end of our relationship but he realized he needed to be seen by a professional or our relationship would have been over. He took responsibility and took action. He knows the signs of it starts happening again and makes a doctors appointment to be reassessed and up his medication or change it.
When it comes to your own life you are always right; it's everybody else who is wrong.

This person took advantage of the most precious and vulnerable moment she could in order to create a rift between you two… mom and dad now… you need to tell your partner how horrible this makes you feel, how crushed/heartbroke etc, tell her about saying things to doctors etc. hell add some tears to it, im not saying to fake your emotions but reaaaally make it obvious this hurt your heart. So she can see her man and now father of her child who was genuinely hurt by this other girl. And then never talk about her at this point. she can continue to see this friend but ask to leave you and your relationship out if it. That is a boundary you can absolutely ask for in this case. Then lets see how much of a friend that friend is when she cant focus on dissing you. You want to make it so obvious that you were hurt, wrongfully mistreated and still manage to take the highroad, if GF cant see through the friends crap at that point then she is really immature

Shame on your family for wanting you to go back to him knowing what he’s capable of. They should support you and be happy that you are not with someone like that anymore. I understand your pain. My bf of 4 1/2 years did this to me this past January as well (like word for word the same situation) and it’s been difficult to handle it. You deserve support for this decision bc in the end you are deserving of love and happiness. If he’s willing to do it once he will do it again, especially if he feels like he can get away with it.
One man is your past and the other is your future. We’re do you want to spend the rest of your life?
