Ok… I hear where you’re coming from. But a healthy human being, looking for a healthy relationship, wouldn’t drag a relationship on if they’ve already found someone else. In fact, they wouldn’t drag a relationship on if they don’t feel that it’s worth it anymore. It doesn’t matter how many times he tries to keep you around. As a matter of fact, him trying to keep you around means he’s trying to fix the relationship (whether it can be fixed or not, is another issue). But if the relationship to YOU wasn’t worth fixing. Then LEAVE. He clearly has issues. And you sticking around while talking to someone else only hurts him more. And it reflects on who you are. And makes you a cheater (don’t get mad, it’s just facts). He didn’t put a gun to your head to stick around. And if he did, you can always get a restraining order against him.
If you REALLY wanted to move on, you would have. But you stuck around. And you decided to talk to someone else while you did that. No excuses. He’s mentally not well. But you also fucked up
Love is choosing to be with your partner and working to be in a good relationship with them. Words can affect us in many ways. Take time to actually think about how you feel about your girlfriend. Think about the kind of person you want to marry, what you expectations and wants are. What do you want for your future? Do you want children? If so about how many? How would you raise them? Would you be strict or gentle parent? Spank or speak to them? What do you want sexually, emotionally, spiritually, mentally and physically in a relationship. Once you know what you want for you and your future then you can talk to your girlfriend. Ask her the same things. See if they align and if there can be a compromise. If you are too incompatible then I wouldn't recommend thinking about marriage or at least just yet. If y'all are compatible then reflect on wether you would want to do all that and spend the rest of your life with her. If so then y'all can start to discuss it and one day get married.
