Exactly, I'm just wondering why he is demanding sex so soon. My wife and I are in the hospital on the cusp of being induced and when sex is mentioned all I can think is “Welp, it ain't happening for another 6-12 months” only because after watching not one, but soon to be 2 aliens leave my wife's body it's leaving a nasty taste in my mouth. Like I love her and all that but if my dick can create that then it's better left in my pants.
Just be patient and give them time, for now, know that it was probably a good thing you weren't together. You weren't bad for them at all it seems.
