2. Encourage her to do whatever will make her feel best but, remind her that once she gets cosmetic surgery, there’s no going back. I’d say most (60%) of my femme friends have had work done but my friends who’ve gotten a rhinoplasty look SO incredibly different! Like an entirely different person! It is NOT a subtle change! Secretly, I miss their old noses. Every one of them looked so much more beautiful prior to surgery.

3. An ex was put on antidepressants for a different reason, but with similar effects: an acute lack of emotions of any kind. I gave the whole thing a couple of month, after which I went for an appointment with her doctor and explained to him how the pills have changed her character. She wasn't even interested in doing the things which brought some joy to her life previously, and it didn't even take two weeks of taking pills for that to happen. So he decided to cut the dosage in half, and after a week of no change, he decided to stop the treatment completely, and switch to other methods. As an alternative, I involved a therapist who helped her navigate some of the issues she was facing, and, as far as I know, she is still progressing with them.

5. There’s good points on both sides but he’s been your fiance for 16 years… why haven’t you just married him? If you felt it was so abusive and manipulative for all these years then you should have left. This post seems like you’re now being put into a position that you have to choose and you don’t like it so you’re ranting and raving live.
