I don’t know if it’s gaslighting so much as straight up emotional abuse. Telling you how you’re allowed to feel? Using your feelings as an excuse to be an AH to you? Then putting you in a double-bind where he gets mad if you don’t share these feelings that he thinks you shouldn’t have?

In the man's mind (source: i am one), she is taking away his ability to ever have one and remain faithful to her. She's taking him to a steakhouse everynight and telling them that he can either eat the salad, go hungry, or walk him.
