   At your age, you are young adults. You are finally free from your parents and childhood home and now you have the whole world to explore and learn who you really want to be.

You can never be really egoistical or selfish – which is something that many young adults, finally away from their parents, want to do. Get drunk. Try drugs. Stay out the whole night. Become a slob not doing chores until you finally realize that your parents really made you do the chores because they need to be done. Go on spontaneous trips. Generally do dumb stuff you will then remember with embarrassment for the rest of your life. All of that and more… and it's naked to do that when you always think of your partner. Would they be okay with this-and-that? How often do you need to call them? Are they okay with you going out and getting smashed with opposite-sex friends and then sleeping over at their place? Are they okay with you fivolously spending money on dumb shit and then eating instant ramen for the rest of the month? Are they okay with you cheating on tests? All of that.

   So honestly, this is pretty normal. Relationships often break around that age and it's for good reason. That doesn't make it any less crappy, but this is really the age where people figure out who they are and who they want to be. And for that, being single is a lot better and sometimes needed.

   It sucks for you. There are always those like you – those willing and ready to commit and settle down with someone even when so young. Those who want to grow together. But really, please, just try to move on from her. If you don't want to block her, that's fine, but please consider it if you end up seeing something on her social media that hurts you. But generally, just leave her be. She has made it clear that it's over and her “No” needs to be respected.
