How long have you been together? Regardless, if this is how you act when your partner has experienced a serious trauma, I can only imagine that you're a nightmare to deal with in everyday situations not to your liking when she's not sitting in a hospital. Why would it upset you that you were told by the best friend? Like seriously, what were you upset about? Then, even if you were upset, why would you think it's a good idea to make things about you and create a problem (where one didn't exist) and completely ignore the fact that she's in the fucking hospital. That should have been your only focus, and quite frankly it's insane that it wasn't.
So how do you fix this? If it's even possible, all you can do is apologize, apologize, and then apologize some more. She'll either forgive you or she won't. If she does, let it go and learn from it. If she doesn't, then there's a larger discussion that needs to happen. Good luck.
