If I had to guess… I would say she has a completely different perception of these conversations. You see it as trying to be helpful. I can’t speak for her but as a woman who has struggled with her weight many times, I would have felt even worse about myself if my husband had mentioned it more than once. I was always thinking about my weight. I was constantly engaging in negative self-talk about how horrible I looked. I didn’t share those inner thoughts with anyone outside of my best friend.

I hate to be the Redditor who jumps to “well, break up,” but if your girlfriend can't respect your boundaries, then the relationship is worth keeping up in my opinion. It's up to you what to do.
