I feel like maybe more than anxiety is at play for her.
I have OCD and before I was diagnosed if I had stress impacting me, my ocd could get very intense which in term resulted in “lows” and erratic moods. Actually getting diagnosed and medicated (or insert relevant treatment plan here) really helped me. Ironically at one of my worst points, I was also in a long distance relationship, and while I didn't take it out on my partner, he knew I was all over the place.
It might be worth sitting her down and approaching the conversation from a place of care. You've noticed her moods are erratic and it seems to be more than just anxiety. Maybe suggest getting a psychological assessment through her therapist or a referral. Not because you think something is wrong with her, but because you think she may be living with more stress and hardship than is necessary and further help could help her to lessen that load.

I wasn’t directly talking about it just made an offhand comment that they hurt. And he already knew I have had one partner who was a little big. He had asked in the past. I didn’t bring this all up directly. That’s why I’m so surprised he’s acting like this and so upset 🙁
I say this as a gun loving veteran. DO NOT BUY THIS MAN A GUN!!! First of all that’s a federal felony, it’s called a straw purchase.
Secondly if I were you I would run from this guy as fast as I could. He probably has a reason he can’t buy a gun (felony conviction or domestic violence). He has no problem demanding that you put yourself at legal risk so he can get what he wants.
If he does something stupid, gets caught with the gun, then it’s traced back to YOU!!

Huh? While I agree with you that there are some cultural aspects of being Jewish that aren't tied to religion, I love my grandma's chopped liver and will eat the shit out of some gefilte fish with horseradish, but Hebrew school, circumcision, and conversion are all very religious! You don't believe in God, but you want your kids to study the Torah? Your Jewish identity is so sacred to you that you need your partner to have the same identity and also study the Torah, learn Hebrew, and commit to the Jewish God? I'm curious about your reasoning for the circumcision.
