If they met, had mutual friends, and/or went to the same school then it’s still knowing someone from high school in an entirely normal way. I don't agree with that. She should have known better to omit information from the first time she went. She should have told him some details whether it was the first or 2nd time or whatever have you. Just because he said no details, doesn't mean you cant slip in the fact you were having a chat with someone there. Both have faults.

Something similar happened to me a couple of years ago. My boyfriend chose to to go a concert on my birthday. What made me upset was he offered no apology or backup plan and didn't understand why that would leave me feeling disappointed. If he at least said “Sorry I won't be here for your birthday. We can celebrate when I'm free,” I wouldn't have started a fight over it. He continued to do things like this and didn't really understand why I was disappointed, so I broke up with him. I don't think it's very difficult to understand that you just want him to show that he cares. I hope if you talk things through, you can work it out! Work stress can bring out the worst in people and having to work on your birthday is out of his control, but your feelings are also valid and you should find a compromise (ie: celebrate later when things slow down at work). For now, just make plans with your friends for your birthday and still try to enjoy your day!

You should have broken up with him six months ago. The foundation of your relationship is built on an enormousm fundamental lie. The person you fell in love with at month three does not exist. The person you fell in love with was an honest, childless man who is not a bad father to a bad child. The person he actually is is a liar who is a bad father to a bad child. It would still be a ridiculously huge lie if the child were well-behaved, but the fact that he's a demon spawn makes it impossibly insurmountable given he doesn't even support you.
Further, if this is how the child behaves at his size now, purposefully injuring you to the point of leaving marks, imagine what he'll do to you when he's bigger and stronger. There'll come a point he'll be able to simply overpower you. He may well literally kill you.
The good news is the window for breaking up isn't past, and you can still do it now. The child is not your problem, and neither is the man-child.
