Yeah this sounds like him a lot, if anything he’s not the type who would ever make fun of someone obviously because of how he was treated, and any gay jokes wouldn’t be well received by him, especially since he very much enjoys that I am bi.

So to answer your question, yes I would still be mad if he was looking at women who looked like me. I was just even More mad because it was a type of woman who didn't look like me at all, which made me feel like he needed something other than me.
