Here’s the thing- regardless of whether it’s abusive, YOU felt uncomfortable. You are allowed to set whatever boundaries you like, and no longer see a person if they cross them. You are allowed to stop seeing people for any reason you want. You can continue to see people if you think they made a mistake as well!

I don’t fucking understand this attitude women have. They will fuck someone they don’t like quickly, but make a guy they do like wait because they actually like them. Do you not understand how shitty that makes the guy who you make wait feel about ourselves? I’ve been the guy who women wait for while they are banging some stud. the choice of time is entirely yours. you already know how they will react, so you can take time before launching the shitstorm. it is their own behaviour that trigger the time table. moreover, to not announce a pregnancy in the first hree months is kind of a custom with people you are not really close. miscaariage is a sad fat of life and you don't want to have to give news of a baby that you have lost.

second. you missed an important feature of the situation : TOU ARE A GROWN UP AND A MOTHER. this mean that you are equal to your parents. it also means that they are now grandma and grandpa. which symbolically imply that they are old and are more steps toward the cemetry. many dysfonctional family are about that phenomena : parents want to stay as they are and so forbid their children to grow up. but you are not the family of lestat the vampire. eventually, children grow up, want it or not, ready or not.
so let me tell you that : THIS IS THEIR PROBLEM. not yours. if they have trouble with you being married and mother , THEy have to go to therapy for refusing to accept the laws of nature.
