OP, you might also want to invest in motion sensor light switches but for lamps INSIDE your home. That way, if someone is moving around outside your house the lights will start turning on inside so you can see it from outside and it would deter any creepies from creeping for too long. Also, if you see a light turn on you can go to another dark window to investigate.
