Define ‘powered through?’ Some people are saying she forced you to have a child, but I’m guessing even though you’re young you knew her age and if you were going to have two kids she had to start sooner rather than later. That said it sounds like you two at the very least need some couples therapy. I get that it was a trauma for her, especially after caring for the baby all day and then just wanting a break and finding this out. I also feel like she’s probably holding this over your head to martyr herself in a way as a SAHM. Have you taken your child out and about alone since? Was everything fine? Do you now realize you can’t take baby outside after working all day?
So, therapy, you’re working your ass off, she may also be if she’s alone with a toddler that much and you said first? Has there been a second child? The age dynamic here is also a big issue since you were barely an adult when you got together. You need a neutral third party to walk you through what’s going on.

I say this gently – you have to get over yourself. No your partner shouldn’t have to be your biggest fan in all aspects. He doesn’t care about your music the way you do and that isn’t a red flag. It’s just who he is. I hate when people sing to me, and I have told an ex who was a bit of a musician that he should never try it again. It makes me uncomfortable af. And that’s acceptable! Humming can also be very annoying. If this is getting a bit frustrating for you then I want you to realize that is how he probably feels also.
Thank you so much for your responses! This has been extremely insightful and I definitely think a counselor is a great way to start. I truly appreciate your time and thoughts on the matter. Hopefully we can move forward together and continue this life journey together but if not atleast I can say I tried and no matter what it isn’t/wasn’t for nothing. Sorry, you must have skimmed over the part where I said I understand her feelings and was just looking for advice on how to navigate my needs given the situation. I didn’t ask how can i force her to give me wild sex ever night.
In case you did read that and are somehow confused… you do understand that my emotions, feelings, wants, and needs can’t just turn off, right? Like it is possible, as I said multiple times in my post, to have complete respect and understanding for another while simultaneously recognizing that my happiness and quality of life still has value.
But to answer your question, yes, a healthy sex life is still a concern for me, as it is for her, just like I stated in my post.
You deserve to be happy. She literally cheated on you and could give you an STD. It sounds like she is financially abusing you if all the assets are in her name. Here is the deal talk to a lawyer and see what you would get out of the divorce. If you would get a decent bit out that you can move and set up a new life awesome. If she has it all set up where you will be left with nothing then honestly you need to try tricking that cheating witch. Tell her that you’re worried that she would leave you since she is sleeping with other people and that all the assets are in her name. Guilt trip her and tell her that you’re OK with her sleeping with other people but you want to be put on the house title and put on the joint bank accounts or whatever so that you can feel some financial security and feel that she won’t just leave you if you find someone else. Then after she puts your name on the assets if she does that then you leave and take that shit. If she won’t put anything in your name and you won’t get anything out of the divorce then maybe shoot for alimony Or stop putting money towards any bills that you make and put it all in a separate account for when you leave and just stay at the house until she legally evicts you While you’re saving up your own money
