First of all you should not accept this behaviour from any kind of person. Man or not. Being a trans man is also no freebie for this behaviour. The patriarchy is sadly still very much intact and working. Every person who says that being a woman or man has social meaning; that the differences of sex have consequences that no other anatomical or appearance difference has (think about hair colour, you wouldn't treat your child differently when it is born with blonde or black hair, but you do when it is born a boy or a girl.)
Anyway, your boyfriend is 35 y/o. He is old enough to know about this if he cared. But he apparently doesn't. Honestly, you can't teach a 35 y/o how to be a decent person. I guess I don’t see the point in telling the spouse here. If wife develops a crush and she’s never going to act on it, and she isn’t planning on leaving me she can just keep that to herself. I don’t tell her every single girl I’m attracted to because I’d never cheat on her so it’s irrelevant. I think most times stuff like this gets confessed to assuage the confessors guilt more than an attempt to “do the right thing”
So other than his cheating, or possibly cheating on you, you are just as bad as each other when it comes to running away from the problems.
Just because he runs away to his sisters place and you run away to the spare room, doesn’t make it any better.
So if you want to divorce him for the cheating – do it – but running away isn’t going to fix anything (in fact it’s likely to harm your divorce process as he will have proof that he’s in control of the primary residence etc and that he should be the one to stay there for the duration of the divorce, while you pay for half the mortgage etc)
