I assume the lack of space and time to be on your own might be a problem?
If so, the best thing you can do is be honest with him, sit down together and communicate with him.

This was my takeaway, too. She seems grounded and emotionally healthy in a way that I envy and that is, sadly, quite rare in my world.
I'd tell him that since you're no longer compatible that you feel it's time to break up. I lived with someone like this for too many years and it ALWAYS had to be his way, “I don't eat meat and neither should you” like a fool I followed along until it became unbearable.
