This is horrific, I am so so sorry this happened to you as this is traumatic and I can’t even imagine the extreme mix of emotions that you must be going through. I obviously don’t know you or your partner so take this with a pinch of salt but I think the act of leaving you on your wedding day tells you everything you need to know about how you she truly feels about you. I do not doubt that she loves you but I suspect she has had internal conflicts going on in her head about how she sees her future with you throughout your relationship hence she’s dipped before and then this has happened. The fact that she’s tried to speak about it with you or express her nerves (aka doubts), I think reveals this was a build-up of bottled up concerns rather than a sporadic on-the-day bolting. I imagine that her anxiety became overwhelming and her gut instinct kicked in and she ran without a plan. Btw by no means am I justifying her actions, I think it’s very cruel and shows a lack of respect to leave a fiancé stranded at the alter. I am definitely generalizing my gender but with women, there is always a WHY. Perhaps she feels she wants to explore more of the world before settling down or she doesn’t think you’re compatible in major areas…tbh I have no idea but I think you need to get those answers to be able to better understand what happened.
I can see others have suggested therapy, which I definitely support as anyone would need professional assistance to process this ordeal. It may take some time for you to reach a decision on whether to stay or not but when you do, just make damn sure you are putting your happiness first (which can be really hot to do when you’re in love!) – all the best 🙂

Right? Because they are also a human with thoughts, feeling and emotions. If it would be cruel to meet someone as a single person, sleep with them and then block them, then it’s just as shitty under these circumstances.
